Tell the story that
sets you free

What if you could weave the burden of the chains that bind you into song? What if singing that song made those chains disappear? Open your heart and listen. Express. Connect. Be made whole.

Stone Mason is more than just a production company. It's about telling stories that engage, connect, and bring about catharsis. The stories we tell are real and timeless. The artists are genuine. The music opens the gate between worlds.

Stone Mason Projects is a boutique organization overseeing projects related to new music for voice. Founded by soprano, composer, professor and new music performer Pamela Stein Lynde, Stone Mason spearheads the creation of new dramatic works for voice, vocal chamber music performances, recordings, festivals, and more. Stone Mason works closely with composers and performers of new vocal music, bringing to life a vast array of artistic visions.

Pamela Stein Lynde

Praised for her “rich dramatics” (The Boston Globe), northern New Jersey native Pamela Stein Lynde is a versatile soprano, composer, contemporary music performer, music educator, and producer, known for inspiration, introspection, and passion in all aspects of her work.

Performances from the current season have included premiering Lesley Flanigan’s haunting sound sculpture VOICES for four singers and loop pedals at Roulette; premiering New York-based composer Eric Lemmon’s The Impossible Will Take a Little While with the Highline Chamber Ensemble at the DiMenna Center for Classical Music; and performing a concert of chamber music by contemporary female composers, including a premier by Jenny Beck, at the National Opera Center.

This past fall also brought her organization Your Music Bus, co-founded with superstar composers Lisa Bielawa and Aaron Jay Kernis, to the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where they gave a composition reading and masterclass to conservatory composition students.
